Is it safe to add essential oils to homemade household cleaning products? I'm interested in making my own household cleaning products that is environmental friendly and health friendly. But I would like to add a nice scent to it to make my home smell nice. I was thinking of adding essential oils to my homemade creations. Is it a safe choice? If not, is there an alternative? Homemade natural cleaning or store bought green cleaning products? I'm starting a home cleaning business. It seems that the best way to go would be with natural and non toxic cleaning supplies. My question is should I make my own cleaners at home with vinegar, baking soda and the like or should I buy "green" cleaners in bulk from a company? The homemade way would be more cost effective but I believe customers would feel more comfortable if they knew we were using safe cleaning products from a known company. Does anyone have any experience in this?

How to clean stain on a beige carpet? There are various stains on my carpet and I'd like to clean them all. The carpet is beige so I don't want to take chances with hardcore cleaning products, if possible more natural ones or homemade tips that won't risk discoloring the carpet. I think some of the stains could be oil, minor burns, food. I have already vacuumed over and tried to remove them with dishsoap and a water (did not work).
