why does my dog attack the vacuum cleaner?

Everytime i do the vacuuming my dog always attacks the vacuum cleaner. Is my dog a bit mental?

2. because it is an enemy. thats how he see's it. or maybe its just fun for him. nothing out of the ordinary
3. Your dog thinks it is another animal because it make a loud noise. He is just trying to protect you and his domain.

5. My dog does the same I think they think they're protecting you or sommat like that. Mad though init!!! Seriously though, I think they see it as a threat to them or you in some way, that's all I think they're doing!!! Probably a bit mental too ehhh !!!!!!
6. My pommie does that too. I think they think they are protecting you from the terrible machine. LOL
7. because the noise hurts the dogs ears because the dogs ears are sentitive

9. All of mine have done that. My Border COllie used to try and attack the lawn mower too, which scared me to death and earned her a trip to the pen when I mow.
